Enabling and Disabling a Data Source Configuration

You can enable or disable a data source configuration. The data source configuration must be enabled to be used for visuals. You cannot disable a data source configuration that is used by existing visuals without first removing the dashboards containing the visuals that use it.

To disable a data source configuration:

  1. Make sure you are logged in as a Composer administrator.

  2. Select Sources on the UI menu () or the top-level navigation menu, or select the Sources box on the Home page. The Sources page appears.

  3. In the table on the Sources page, locate the row displaying the data source configuration you want to disable.

  4. Slide the toggle in the Enabled column to the left for the configuration. The data source configuration is disabled.

If the data source configuration is used by dashboard visuals, a dialog appears listing the dashboards. Optionally, select the icon and then select Delete to delete a dashboard. Select Accept to close the dialog, accepting changes you have made (if any).
