Managing Access, Security, and Accounts

Zoomdata administrators can manage access to Zoomdata and the connected data sources by assigning permissions to users and groups using the Users and Groups function. In addition, users may be imported into Zoomdata using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), specifically, Active Directory and OpenLDAP directory services. User Attribute Passthrough (UAP) has been implemented.

An activation or registration page may appear the first time the Zoomdata client is accessed.

Authentication of users can be handled traditionally via username and password setup, or via Single Sign-on (SSO) using the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML).

To provide an additional level of security in the connection to and access of the data sources, Zoomdata administrators can generate their own KeyStore using a symmetric key algorithm.
